very hard to fit as this was a pre 2021 roller shutter had to retrofit to the 2021 wildtrak as no instructions provided, help from hardtops was given but took 2-3 days on and off to install because of bad instructions and felt like we were making it up we went along different instructions from different people over the 3 days but go there in the end (time I didn't have). The fact ford have changed the bed liner in 2019 and this shutter is not made to fit the 2021 model without cutting large holes out of the bed liner. Also this seems to let in a lot of water through the slats. Not very impressed as this is sold on the website as a `clamp in` kit this was far from the case it is also stated that this is water proof and it is far from that aswell. Only good point I would say is it seems to be very secure compared with the mountain top.

Thank you for the review. Since you have highlighted these issues we have updated the points raised, we have changed our fitting brackets now to allow for the updated bed liner. Along with changing the fitting instructions and making them available on our website as not to have to wait. I appreciate these changes have been made too late for you to benefit from. Please send me photos of your water ingress as this is very strange.

Generally Went well the installation took slightly longer than was originally timed for but was successful*, the colour is slightly off but not so much as you really notice. My Complaints are really about the electrical side of fitting. Central Locking : I had the fitting kit fitted to my hard top, the feed was taken from the drivers door, which in Fords is a totally different circuit to the rest of the car, so one click opens the drivers door and the hard top, the next click opens the rest of the car ( which includes the Tailgate ) not really optimal there. Internal Light : The Wildtrack has a feed for the internal light system to light it up when you unlock the tailgate/press a button, this has been totally disconnected and the rear light connected directly to a 12 volt feed. so it does not light up when you open the tail gate nor open the hard top and the light always has to be manually turn on/off. Instructions: I was not given the instructions for the Hardtop so I can't remedy these myself. With the exceptions of these installation flaws it was installed ok (it's slightly crooked), do I think it was worth the £200 it cost me... simple answer NO, I paid a premium for installation and I don't think it was a premium service.

Regarding the central locking, the feed isn’t taken from the drivers door but it is taken from the main feed that unlocks on the first click of your remote. We found customers preferred this as it gave access to the canopy with just one press of the button and not all Rangers have central locking to the tailgate. The interior light is battery powered to allow it to be completely independent and not require the vehicles supply, being a modern LED light, they use very little power. Also not all Rangers have the feed from the Wildtrak Sports bar. A lot of Pick-up beds are crooked from the vehicle which means we have to fit around this to ensure the canopy doesn’t foul the back of the cabin whilst still looking correct on the bed. Without seeing the vehicle I cannot comment any further. I am sorry you feel disappointed with the fitting cost, not all of this was for the fitting as you have the removal cost for your WildTrak sports bar.

Had a mixed experience - was assured that I would be updated on the status of the delivery this didn't happen at all which proved tricky in organising my schedule around awaiting delivery. I got an update hours after chasing and actually hours after the top had been delivered, the update stated that they didn't have an update but knew it was out for delivery. The service I received was polite. Sadly the hardtop itself is nowhere near colour matched to Panther Black, in reality its closer to Magnetic in colour, which is disappointing but no doubt once the truck gets covered in mud it will be fine. The top itself besides the colour seems well made. The lad who delivered it was very helpful and attentive.
